I want to make a proper post about our recent trip. But I can't seem to muster the energy. I hate how real life gets in the way of blogging. Boo.

Capiz, April 2010

Toni and I caught an early flight to Capiz a couple of weekends ago for his grandfather's wake. Sadly, I had to fly back the next day. I didn't even make it to the intement. RIP. He was in his 90s. So was my paternal grandfather when he died. Really, what more can we transient beings ask for? We got more years from our lolos than most people get.

That's not him, FYI but I did take this photo while I was there.

Light and Shade

I'll be the first to admit my own vanity. Photos of myself have to run an arduous gauntlet of  selection, elimination and approval before I allow it to be published. If you do come across unflattering pictures of me online know that they are unauthorized and that I begged, threatened, bribed and even asked nicely that the culprit take them down to know avail. Some people are just mean. 

These aren't very flattering themselves. Usually I'd insist on some foundation before I let the camera get this close to my face. But, I don't know...I kinda liked them. And several people at DeviantArt did too. So here you go. I will share.
